Alter Metal Recycling is a scrap metal company in Waupaca, Wisconsin. Samuels Recycling Company was established in 1896 in Portage, WI and was acquired by Alter Trading Corporation in December of 2006. Initially, this facility was started as a support yard and major scrap supplier to Waupaca Foundry in 1995 but has grown to also become a full-service scrap operation. The Waupaca facility sits on 15.5 acres of land, has one of the largest inventories of 3" steel around the state and with a multiple track rail system, they have the ability to unload up to 15 rail cars per shift for processing. The manned or remote controlled track mobile moves rail cars anywhere in the yard to efficiently process material.
